Eforma Africa, from Lomé to Vienna via eLearning Africa 2026: what this international immersion has changed for us

Some opportunities mark the journey of a company. Others also transform the way its founder perceives their project, their market, and their ambition.

For Eforma Africa, the year 2026 will undoubtedly remain one of those decisive milestones.

It all started with an application to the E-Learning Immersion Program led by the Togo Digital Agency, under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation of Togo, with the support of GIZ Togo.

Beyond a simple support program, this initiative aimed to enable innovative Togolese startups to strengthen their capacities, discover best international practices, and open up to new horizons.

When Eforma Africa learned of its selection among the chosen startups, we saw it as recognition of our work, but also as a responsibility: to represent Togolese innovation and demonstrate that African solutions can address the educational challenges of the continent.

An adventure made possible thanks to committed partners

From the very first stages of the program, we benefited from quality support, provided by people deeply committed to the development of the Togolese digital ecosystem.

We would like to express our gratitude to Djanta and the entire team at the Togo Digital Agency for their availability, professionalism, and constant commitment to the participating startups.

Through this initiative, we were able to witness the genuine willingness of public institutions and their partners to create concrete opportunities for Togolese entrepreneurs.

Vienna: learning, confronting ideas, and broadening vision

The program then took us to Vienna, Austria, as part of a learning visit organized with Common Sense eLearning & Training Consultants.

For several days, we had the opportunity to engage with international e-learning experts, discover new pedagogical models, explore the issues of digital accessibility, artificial intelligence, content quality, and educational innovation.

But beyond the training, this immersion primarily allowed us to gain perspective.

We realized that the future of digital education in Africa is not about replicating models designed elsewhere. It is about creating solutions adapted to African realities: mobile-accessible platforms, compatible with limited connections, integrating local payment methods, and valuing the expertise of trainers on the continent.

This conviction, already present within Eforma Africa, was reinforced during our stay in Vienna.

Accra: at the heart of major conversations about the future of education in Africa

The adventure continued in Accra, Ghana, during the eLearning Africa conference, the largest gathering dedicated to digital education, training, and learning technologies on the continent.

For several days, we attended high-level conferences, met key players in the sector, discovered innovations from across Africa, and exchanged ideas with entrepreneurs, institutions, universities, and international partners.

This experience confirmed a reality: Africa is building its own educational future.

The discussions around artificial intelligence, employability, digital skills, vocational training, and inclusion show that the continent no longer wants to merely consume innovations from elsewhere. It also wants to create them.

For Eforma Africa, this meeting was an opportunity to share our vision and strengthen our positioning within the African EdTech ecosystem.

The vision of Eforma Africa

Since its inception, Eforma Africa has pursued a simple ambition: to make the skills of the future accessible to all Africans.

We believe that talent is everywhere on the continent, but that training opportunities remain unevenly distributed.

That is why we are building a platform that connects learners, trainers, institutions, and businesses around a common goal: to transform learning into opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and growth.

Through digital technologies, artificial intelligence, multilingualism, mobile learning, and solutions adapted to local realities, we want to contribute to building an ecosystem where every African can develop their skills, regardless of their place of residence or situation.

A departure towards an even greater ambition: to contribute to building a platform from Africa capable of training, connecting, and revealing the talents of the continent.
