Being passionate about 3D

About This Course

In this training, Kossivi Samuel Logossou shows you step by step how to use simple reference images provided by the client to create a 3D product in order to reduce the very high cost of studio photography sessions and to create assets that can be easily used for printing or video. This training particularly focuses on creating a photorealistic rendering of a beer bottle. However, the techniques used by Samuel Logossou can be applied to almost any product.

Learn to model complex shapes through the combination of Spline and polygonal modeling tools, and then move on to creating complex materials for the foam, labels, cap, and water condensation on the bottle. You will then place the bottle in a subtly lit environment using techniques borrowed from photography to light glass against a black background. Finally, you will learn to create the final composition of your image in a compositing software like Photoshop.

What Will You Learn?

Create a photorealistic render in Cinema 4D and Photoshop
Model a realistic beer bottle
Create a multi-pass render for post-production
Create a realistic condensation on a beer bottle
Create a product in Cinema 4D
Realistic lighting of a product in Cinema 4D
Create a multi-pass render for post-production

Course features

3D product modeling

3D product modeling

Master the creation of complex 3D shapes from reference images by combining Spline and polygonal modeling. The student will be able to build a realistic bottle with a cap and label while respecting proportions, technical details, and production logic.

Creation of Realistic 3D Materials

Creation of Realistic 3D Materials

Learn to design credible materials for glass, foam, labels, and condensation to achieve a photorealistic rendering. The student will understand the management of textures and physical properties to simulate a product ready for advertising.

3D Studio Lighting

3D Studio Lighting

Understanding studio lighting techniques in three points inspired by product photography to enhance the volumes and reflections of glass on a black background. The student will learn to position the lights and create a premium atmosphere suitable for advertising renders.

3D Rendering and Post-production

3D Rendering and Post-production

Create realistic rendering settings to set up a multi-pass render and finalize the image in post-production using Adobe Photoshop. The student will learn to enhance colors, contrasts, and details to produce a professional visual intended for print or digital.
